Effective immediately, the burn ban has been upgraded to a FULL ban due to the dry conditions and lack of rain.
No Campfires
No Fireworks
No Open-Air Burns
No Brush Burns
These restrictions are in place to reduce the risk of wildfires and keep our community safe. The ban will remain until further notice.
Please do your part – no fires means no fires.
CHANGES TO THE BURN PERMIT PROCESS ~ PLEASE READ BELOW:
The Beckwith Volunteer Fire Department reminds all fires require a 2025 Annual Burn Permit including Campfires. After your initial activation for the year, you are only required to call in your burn if you are having a Large Open Air Fire.
Residents may obtain a FREE Burn Permit electronically by going online at beckwith.burnpermits.com
Residents must go on line and create an account and then immediately call (833)525-1333 to activate their account for the year. Residents are required to obtain a single permit that is active for one calendar year. If you require assistance, please contact the Township Office.
Permit holders must call to activate their Burn Permit every day they want to burn, year round, even though you have registered for the year. Permit activation must be completed by calling the Burn Permit Line at (833) 525-1333 .
If you are having difficulty activating your permit, ensure your Permit is valid for 2025.
Enforcement actions may be taken against anyone who burns in violation of By-Law 2025-18
